Isabella Steele
(Stage Manager)
Isabella started her theater journey when she was a young teenager. Both her father and grandmother did theater in high school and after hearing their stories, she was inspired to dip her toes into that creative outlet, and she has never looked back.
In her late high school years, she joined a performing arts high school where she continued to explore and develop her skills, knowing it was something she would always want to be apart of. Since moving out to Oregon, she has been involved with several community theaters. She has greatly enjoyed being apart of many ensemble roles at both Theater in the Grove and Hart Theater.
Some of Isabella’s favorite roles have been playing the Nightingale in “Once Upon A Mattress”, Annie in “Evil Dead: The Musical”, as well as serving as an understudy for the role of Hermia in “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”. Isabella has also had extensive experience backstage, accumulating a collective year of stage managing experience.
Isabella is excited to be working with Life In Arts Productions and their return to the stage, giving her a chance to see the possibilities that will come in being apart of a new community filled with such passionate artists. Working on Of Mice and Men feels like a continuation of her journey from the original company she started with, to finding her way through many different experiences in the Portland area — she remains hopeful and passionate about where this journey will continue to lead her.
“If one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life he has imagined, he will meet with a success unimagined in common hours. If you have built castles in the air, your work need not be lost; that is where they should be.
